Physicians today face significant challenges due to the lack of ownership of their Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Most EMR systems are controlled by clinics rather than individual physicians, leaving doctors dependent on the clinic’s infrastructure and policies. This lack of ownership creates barriers to mobility—when physicians wish to move from one clinic to another, they often encounter restrictions or delays in accessing and transferring patient data. As a result, every transition becomes a time-consuming and technically challenging process for both physicians and clinics, ultimately disrupting continuity of care and administrative efficiency.
